Definition

A body with routine implementation power and responsibilities. This department or authority could be at the federal / state provincial / municipal level. The regulatory body might create regulations to implement specific parts of laws created by the legislative body.

Example: A department or authority might create regulations, rules, guidelines, or standards that directly addresses a designated function under a primary text with express specifications.
